About
The eye behind the edit.
Michelle DeHaven has spent decades doing what most people only dream about — hunting. Through flea markets and back rooms, estate sales and far-flung places, she has built a life around finding things that matter. Not trends. Not what’s expected. Things with weight, with history, with a reason to exist in your home or on your body.
In 2016, she opened her first retail studio and spent nearly a decade building something rare: a shop with a genuine point of view, a loyal following, and a reputation for knowing the difference between what looks good and what is good.
A different kind of shop.
I don’t buy what’s available. I find what’s right.
From a nineteenth-century object pulled from a market in Paris, a jacket from an independent designer working outside the fashion system, or a scent that makes a room feel like somewhere you want to stay, our selections are ever changing.
What I believe about home.
A well-designed space isn’t about perfection. It’s about personality. The rooms I’m drawn to — and the ones I help create — are warm and layered and a little unexpected. They mix high and low, old and new, refined and raw. They feel lived in because they are. They feel like someone because they belong to someone.
That’s what I’m after, whether I’m gathering objects for the shop or designing a room for a client.
