Ramy Brook Sharp started where most great things do — with a problem she couldn't solve anywhere else. In 2010, she was looking for the perfect silk top to wear with jeans: something polished enough for evening, easy enough for real life, and confident without trying too hard. She couldn't find it. So she made it herself, sold the first six pieces at trunk shows, and within six months was picked up by Bergdorf Goodman.
